Ok, so to keep costs down ( i'm a cheapskate), I have phone prewire into command so I bought a refurb handset off ebay, free sim and a tenners worth of credit. Job done for under thirty quid.
But although I have the glovebox changer, there isn't really enough choice for myself and Mrs Ted, and the cabled solution is a little messy.
So I got one of these

off ebay for under fifteen quid.
Pair the iPhone and use an app I already have

And I have a wireless music solution :)

Not perfect, and I still need to sort out a charging method and a bracket for the phone but for under fifteen quid delivered it will do for now.
Tried a phone call and although the music mutes, the sound doesn't come through the speakers, but that's no big deal.
Looks like a result :)

Anyone any ideas:

a) Can you connect to 2 bluetooth devices with the iPhone?
b) If you can, what would happened if you are connected to the adapter and the cars bluetooth phone prep and you get a call?

Tried this solution on BIL's car with the Mercedes BT adapter and the little dongle and all worked perfectly - streamed music, took a call, music went quiet, and call was fine. End call, and music played again.

Can't guarantee that this will work on all devices :)

That looks very interesting - thank you.
