A45 and loving it.
Getting my new A45 soon and have heard by some that you should get it professionally detailed asap.Is it really important to do this?If so is it wise to have a ceramic coating on it as well or just some really good quality waxes? Is it just a case of light washing every week after this is done? Thanks.

Only you can decide how important it is.

If you prefer the paintwork on your car to look swirl free and perfect, then it's worth getting it done. You'd be amazed at how bad a new car's paint can actually be.

However, if you intend to put your car through a car wash (automated or local immigrant reception centre), it'll be a pointless waste of money.

That's a lovely position to be in - to be able to have the choice on purchasing a new car. Personally, I would go for the ceramic coating then it's a matter of just hand wash and hand dry (no need to wax).

If it's brand new, you get the pleasure of seeing your pride and joy in perfect condition every time it's washed.
