Afternoon chaps,

The ml has caused me some major issues with the gearbox and since paying £700 for the seals to be done the internal seals have apparently gone (fairly angry that this wasn't thought of first of all but there you go)

So basically.

Is there any interest in parts off the car that will recoup my money.

What are certain parts worth realistically to sell them and does the engine fit other 55 amg cars such as e class or clk just so it's easier to sell?

Any help would be fantastic

Hi mate

I'll have the front bumper off you if you break it. Might need some other bits too like front seats if they are black and the heating elements work in them.

Btw what was your gearbox problem/symptoms?

on other models swap for sl means sump change but this from previous sl model w107 and w129.

maybe not required but in any case the buyer has an engine so need to sill change.

r u sure if u need special gearbox or 320 or 430 is ok in which case can find replacement to yours or ml 55 been broken ml dropped so much it much be at bottom price and ml55 fairly rare

Would a 2nd hand replacement gearbox be a better idea. If it is a w163 model there one on ebay for just under £500.

Thanks for the replies but I'm only interested in what parts are worth now. It's not going back on the road and I'm fed up of it.

It's a shame it has given you grief.

I seem to remember it was always a bit of a heart punt but you should be able to reclaim most if not all of your cash I would have thought.

Was always going to be a bit of a risk. Just a shame really. I'm probably going to end up in a cls55 or e55 by the end of this year. Hopefully I should make some money back on it.
