So I took the car for a test drive last night after fitting new HT leads, plugs and air filter and I was really chuffed with the results...brilliant...

While I was messing around in the car doing all this, I saw that a little black plug under the rear seat (passenger side) was disconnected so I plugged it back in to see what would happen. No new buttons worked so I was left wondering what it was for...

So...driving along on the test drive and BANG!!! The rear headrests came down...it scared the crap out of me esp as I was test driving it. Lol!! My heart jumped out of my chest, I thought I'd run over something for second.

Quite funny though and my reasr headrests work...woo!

Well, not quite...it makes me wonder why it was disconnected though? If i put the headrests up and then press the button, they don't work for ages and ages - then go down. I suppose it must be a leak in the vacum thingy?

Anyway - heart rate back to normal now- I might just disconnect it again and leave it...

Ha Ha Ha !! :D

Probably just come loose , you are meant to be able to put the rear headrests down for reverse parking with the switch on the dash . Only problem is , you have to climb in the back and lift them back up manually !

Think the vacuum pump is under the rear seats - if you look on the ruski site there are diagrams so you can check how it should be.

I always drive around with mine down unless there is a passenger in the back (quite often at the mo as Mrs B rides in the back with Junior B) then they pull the head rests up.

Are you still after a bonnet - there's a pre facelift car being broken on 'the other site' at the mo.

Ade

Thanks lads...nice one, I'll have a look at both! I do need a bonnet still but struggling to afford it at the mo, still you never know - might be able to pursuede the Mrs. lol.

Thanks mate.

I can remember watching VBH driving an SL on 5th gear...went so fast around a bend the car thought it was going to flip and popped out the rear headrest protectors ...the look on her face...priceless...

.....and so was what came out of her mouth (I think it's on YouTube somewhere) :D

If you need a vac pump let me know I'm pretty sure I have a spare in the garage. :)

:bannana: Well funny, love them both. Tee Heee

Sorry guys but I thought had the ruski site in my favourites but can't find it? Can anyone chuck me a link please? thanks
