Will, 124 estates are the best!

i hope one day to find a lower ultra rare sportline model..

low miles, low owners and high spec... ah.. they are an icon.. where as the round lamped eclassed aleady look aged, the w124s still look the part.

The simplicity of the dash is still strikingly modern and beautiful!

For those unlucky enough to not own a heritage W124, I offer salvation with my Heritage W124 (TM) conversion kits to make your later model W124 look like an old one.

I've heard that Heritage W124 (TM) command a considerable price (5x) over lesser facelift models, so consider my kit to be an investment.

I can also arrange to have your car painted in the most desirable of dull green colours to add even more value.

Usual forum discounts apply.

Do you do amber indicators? :D

Ade

Cool, I think we all wish you best of luck with the sale, but people here know their onions and your pricing is incredibly optimistic, especially in a recession.

What did you pay for it?

I never discuss prices lol... well not acquisition pricing anyway!

I think the amber indicators look very fitting.. the clear ones make the car look grumpy.. only my opinion.. i had though the clear indicators would look great, hence i bought some, but took um off after as my pref didnt agree with how it looked!

i have throught of the continent and America.

I'd think again.

America has strict import regulations meaning your car cannot be imported there, and why would anyone in Europe pay over the odds for a RHD car?

My Uncle moved from Bristol to Seattle (he is a Boeing designer) and took his 2 cars with him..

so i have not looked too much into it, but thats what i know of so far

ah, I've got a 'heritage' W123 grille in my garage - it's mid seventies so at these prices must be worth at least £1 million

Personal opinions always welcome, but please refrain from insult.

Insult being (i have not once stated pre facelift is a "lesser" grill) - just my preference.

I do not insult anyone, and where i have, i will (in advance) apologise.

TB you're getting confused now, NM said the post facelift are "lesser".

This thread will go on a long time because you will not give up and seem to think that yours is the best example of the type. HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY KNOW THAT? This is a nice forum and yet you are intent on dissing the cars owned by most of the memebers. Get a grip. That video, those photos, you are obsessive. It's a car. If it's written off tomorrow how much will your insurers give you for it?

You do talk utter crap. No insult intended.

Think how much better your E55 would look if you could do a Barry transfer of that "Heritage " grill.

To put things in perspective......

Last year we found a powder blue metallic sportline cabrio with FULL Merc history (20k miles) a 'Heritage' grille aned absolutely every other option ticked, 1 owner from new etc and the guy couldn't shift it for £14k. (I know the price he eventually settled for and it would make you cringe!!!)

Your car is nice but your current price point is approximately triple it's current value.

Words like 'heritage' don't impress people - they make you sound like a complete idiot

This Thread was:

1. NOT STARTED BY ME
2. WAS A GUESSING GAME TO PISTON HEADS

so im not carrying on anything, some one mentioned my car, ofcourse i will respond.

Everyone has a choice on car. That is you as a human, your right to make a choice about what is right and what is wrong.. for YOU.

I own new mercs and old ones..

so what.. i prefer the old ones.. thats my PREFERENCE. Im not God, nor do i intend to be or pretend to be lol.

How you feel to my ability to market it, is great, but my insurance write off value after sending photos, and having 2 inspections was over £20k and below £30k

so im not too worried about a write off!

I appreciate the comment and will take it on board, however, as i have said, it was a choice of adjective on the word, not the context of who or what it refers to.

i will review it and ask my internet team to think of a new work (pre facelift or otherwise)

You have a team of people posting to the internet for you?

Are the posts on this forum the work of number of members from your team or just from their leader/master?

Andy K is right. It's like those things sold as " collectible". What nonsense. Your car is nice. There are many nice cars about. Your car is special TO YOU. What I like about this forum is the way the guy who paid 4 grand for his pride and joy can discuss things with the guy who paid 44 grand on an equal level.

My car is special TO ME and no one else.

An iconic car is one that every little boy will say "Wow" to. That will not happen to you. But will happen to, the Ferrari, the Aston, the E Type, etc. Get a little perspective; please you are in danger of losing theplot with this car that you are trying to get rid of: or are you? Maybe all this attention is symptomatic of something more base...

I run an internet business, thus my web guys work on graphics etc..

As i mentioned once before, Im a hindu. Im not overly reigious, but i have my values.

One thing i am not, is possessive.

If i have something, i will share it. Other things i will sell, i like cars, but if some one wants a materialistic thing i own, then im happy to part with it, just pay me for it.. I could charge £100k.. no one will pay it.. perhaps at £35k, no will either, but you dont know that, I dont know that, and time might tell if you are infact ALL correct, or all wrong.

It it was food, i would not charge you to eat at my house or any future establishments i might have if i know you on a personal level. etc etc..

I think you should sack the minion who came up with the 'heritage' thing.

You're not called the boss for nothing, make the fool who came up with the lame 'heritage' term pay with his job!!

Just found a Heritage grill.
