Jacko Dies??

Sorry for his family but have to say nothing he has done in the last 20 plus years has impressed. Elvis was great right up to the end with great performances and I will always remember the news of his death. With Jacko, I flicked the channel over and marched off to work chewing my toast and didn't give it a second thought.

So what?

Whatever the end result of the debate about who is better, one striking fact is that all of the great musical 'legends' who died leaving a great hole in the world of music had one thing in common.

They were all a sandwich short of a picnic in one way or another.

Elvis must be the King as it is an undeniable fact that this person died on the throne!

Would that have been the Burger King ? :D

Terrible news, My favourites were 'Buffalo Soldier' and 'No Woman No Cry'
Sad we won't see any more good albums.

I think it is a tragic loss of a musical genius.
Like it or not these figures speak for themselves:

His albums Thriller and Bad are the eighth and ninth best-selling albums in the UK.
Both sold more than 3.5 million.

As for thriller between 60 - 65 million copies sold worldwide and probably no other album will EVER achieve this AGIAIN

He holds the record for the most Top 40 hits in the UK Singles Chart in one year, registering 19 in 2006.

He had seven number one singles:

1981: One Day In Your Life
1983: Billie Jean
1987: I Just Can't Stop Loving You
1991: Black Or White
1995: You Are Not Alone
1995: Earth Song
1997: Blood on the Dancefloor

And he has received 13 Grammies total, 8 of which were awarded in the same night!
The most won by an artist in the same year!
Yes there are other artists that are better than him, but just remember that they are only BETTER IN YOUR EYES, That does not make them any better or bigger but just YOUR OPINION
And NO he wasn’t my idol, I was just lucky enough to see him performing live twice at the OLD Wembley stadium.

RIP MJ Hope you are finally at peace

Yep, on the toilet.

It is a shame that after all those number one's, he died trying for a number two.

He did do SOME good stuff though. Hunk Of Burning Love.

That would have been just after a vindaLOO burger !

Latest rumours from the Staes is that his doctor gave him an accidental overdose of Demoral a pain killer. I visit a US based forum, so only rumour.

Mike Tyson is a convicted rapist and some folks still look on him as a role model.

I enjoy listening to this person's music but he was a flawed human being who I would not let in the same room as my children.

A great entertainer and I say that about Gary Glitter... A great entertainer but......... as a human being I would suggest I have more respect for Ronnie Biggs

Sorry but I do not understand your comparison here.

Michael Jackson was cleared of all charges

Mike Tyson and Gary Glitter were both convicted.

As for him being a flawed human being are we all not flawed in some way or other?

And as for "who I would not let in the same room as my children" I wouldn't worry too much about that any more since the man is DEAD

I just do not understand why you would respect a convicted criminal I.E. Ronnie Biggs.

Alex.

Now I hear growing rumours, it's all a hoax! Jacko lives!! (soon to gig with Elvis :D )

Apparently this is all so he doesn't have to appear at the O2 gigs...

Hi Alex,
Might I suggest the reason you do not understand why I respect a convicted criminal is because I NEVER SAID I RESPECTED HIM.....

It is so easy to put words into folks mouths etc. but please try to read what is actually said.

I am voicing my own personal opinion and if you were happy to allow your children to spend the night under the same roof as that person, then that would be your own individual choiice because yes, I accept he was found to be not guilty, just like OJ Simpson.

note how I am NOT saying you would be happy to leave your children in the care of that person, but would you?

As you rightly said he was found to be NOT guilty, so if he were still alive would you allow your children to stay with that person or will you dodge the answer. We are all innocent until proved guilty.

It depends on the hospital.

You could go to an NHS Hospital and be pronounced DEAD and then moved to an expensive private hospital and your condition (especially if insured) would be upgraded to ALIVE.
