Hi All,

Just spotted this today:

http://www.circuit-days.co.uk/content.php?page_id=14

I think I might enter for the hell of it in the Mini and see if I can get slowest car or something similar. I don't expect to get slowest lap though. ;)

Anyone else think it might be a laugh?

I'm entered and paid: http://www.circuit-days.co.uk/attendees.php?venue_id=&event_id=38

I've also tried to recruit:

Steve in the 996 Turbo Porsche [he's responded already and is quite keen]
Rammy in the 993 Turbo Porsche [nothing yet]
BenA in the SL320 [fairly keen]
BenC in the Mini Cooper [fairly keen]
Neil in the Mini Cooper S [nothing yet]

I'm hoping to call it quits this year for the Ring, no need to keep tempting fate.

Booked on this one too, just need to post the cheque off.

Spoken to my old man and they are pretty keen to come along in the Nissan, Stuart could do with the tuition round the 'ring ;)

I'm so jealous. Well I could, but other priorites and all those excuses. Carefull with the Cannonball spirit though - I have just seen the photos of the remains of an ex-colleagues Cobra from the Eurpoean Cannonball.

Awesome, Matt!

I think we'll be some of the more sensible people there. Really looking forward to it.

Just spoke to my mate and he's up for this as well as myself.

Do you reckon they allow oil burners that might shame petrol variants:rolleyes:

Well it looks like they've had to stop using the Cannonball name. I haven't received anything official from them yet, but will wait and see.

Good to see a few more familiar faces on the list.

Scott

Just found this thread......doh!!!

A fantastic trip!!
Had an absolute hoot and met some great people along the way.

Have had the pleasure of riding and driving the "Ring" before so wasnt entirely new to the track.

The SL performed faultlessly and myself and my son managed some great laps, did 14 in total over the weekend.

I believe there were 65 cars in attendance in total and was pleased to see that my 10 year old SL managed to come 4th overall:) , beaten by a Porsche GT2, A Porsche 911 Turbo and an Audi RS4.

Weather was great, a tad too warm at times but helped with the grip!! Saturday afternoon we had a considerable amount of rain and thunder storms which eventually closed the track for a while. I did go out in the worst of it but after a few scary sideways moments decided that it was best to let the tyres be in contact with the tarmac rather than a sheet of storm water!!! A small amount of rain on Sunday morning and then it just got hotter and hotter.

The circuit days team did a stirling job of organising a great trip and as far as I am aware only one of the group came to grief on the track and ended up being trailored home by the lads from Trackside Support.

Managed a vid of one fairly slow lap early sunday morning on a drying track which I will endeavour to get posted over the next week or so.

A must do for any Nurburgring fan old or new, will be booking again for next year for sure.

Next trip to the track for me will be on the new Blade in august:D

Yee Ha:) :)
