Just about to buy these, what do you think?

I had 4 of these fitted to my s124 about 2 months ago (195/65 r15 v) and they are significantly better in every way than the Michelins that were previously fitted.

No idea how well they will last, but based on the first 60 days, I'd say they were better than the Michelins and Continentals I've had on my S124 previously.

I've never had problems with Dunlop on any of my cars and heard good reports about these

I'm currently running Goodyear energy efficient grip and they are fantastic

Also ordered SWMBO Kuga with all season tyres which are Hankook and so far I'm impressed with them on and off road

Tyres have definitely improved a lot over the last 10 years from my experience. Apart from a couple of cars with ultra budget tyres I have been very impressed with lots of tyres over the past couple of years.

I would totally agree with this not much to call between the top manufacturers although some tyres do seem to suit some brands better than others

I had Dunlop FastResponse before the Contis and they were great.

In fact I was looking at the Dunlop BlueResponse as a potential replacement to the Contis.

They come highly recommended in tyre reviews, and their EU ratings are impressive (especially the noise rating which is important to me).

Couldn't agree more. It's becoming more and more difficult to choose a brand never mind a particular tyre. Maybe the envelope for tyre development has become much smaller, thus technical advances plateauing to a degree. In the last, say five years I've used Bridgestone, Firestone, Fulda, Yoko's, Hankook, Michelin, Goodyear etc on several different cars over all the seasons and I honestly couldn't fault any bar the Avons currently on the front of my Honda, for some reason the have added a touch of understeer and maybe a touch suspect in the wet. Possibly it's all subjective but not a biggy.

Anyway, I'll give these Dunlops a go if for no other reason that it will make a change, can't recall the last time I purchased Dunlops come to think of it.

Yes, I'm of a similar mind to yourself that's why the Sport BlueResponse sparked by interest.

Bluresponse noise

I have just had 4 195 65 15 91V Dunlop Sport Bluresponses fitted to my 1995 c220, chosen mainly on the very good write-ups they have received.
The cabin noise level is now very much louder than before they were fitted, increasing with road speed and only varying a bit with road surface. It sounds like tyre drone, and it's particularly noticeable from the rears.
None of the other makes I've used in the past caused such a problem so what's special about these new tyres?
Will the noise reduce when the tyres are run in or have I just invested in an unsolvable problem?

Just an update on these noisy tyres.
I fitted my spare NCT5, and another NCT5 from a friend, to the the rear. The noise level was reduced to non-intrusive so I'm pretty sure the BluResponses are the cause of the droning. The unchanged Dunlops seem quiet on the front.
It's almost funny that the unavailability of NCT5s prompted me to move to Dunlops.
