Just renewed my MB warranty

Cost £636 (steep) but gives me another year of worry free motoring.
No doubt it'll now perform absolutely perfectly for 12 months, all the rattles will disappear and mpg will increase. Apparently if renewed after 60,000 miles the warranty level reduces to Tier 2 so isn't as comprehensive.

Warranty Direct quote for a Gold Policy is around £400 with no inspection required.

Does your £600+ include the MB dealer inspection fee?

I am curious as to which company underwrites this kind of MB warranty insurance...most certainly a well-known company.

Why did you choose the MB warranty extension??

Mondial underwrite it - there is no inspection fee if the extended warranty follows on from the factory warranty, and as long as the extended warranty is renewed annually, there are no further inspection fees.

The Warranty Direct is all good and well and may be a bit cheaper but the Mercedes warranty won't question anything - they just pick up the car from my works and fix any problems. They drop it back at the end of the day - sometimes valeted ! I had the Warranty Direct warranty a few years ago for a BMW and used them twice. On both occasions they told me "oh that's not covered". I don't have to take any time off work - no hassle at all. MOTs, servicing - it's all no hassle - they just pick the car up and drop it back.
