Kleeman cls - good car?

hi

My car give me 8mpg my old e55 gave me 9mpg but i am running big power!
I will speak to Kleemans who i know and see what info he can give me about the car,

But with a bigger 180mm pulley and a remap you can get around 570bhp
For insurance i was using NIG or get traders.

Thanks for your advise.

But I wanted a 600bhp+ 600 ft/lbs torque car. I used to drive a SL65 that was remapped - that was a quick car. I lost alot of money when I sold it. I had it from new.
Just seems like a cheap way to get 600bhp/600 torque with the 55AMG and hopefully still good reliablilty. Most 55AMG seems to have big options = comfort and lots of toys, to me its value for money either to built one from standard or to buy an alreadly built car. I never thought I could buy an existing built car. Tuning AMG doesn't seem a big thing in UK. When I visit the States (mainly LA), I always see well modded AMGs for sale everywhere.

I am more concern, how good is this car? Was it built by someone reputable?

I used DMS when I had my SL, my opinion with them are "I won't used them again". This just my opinion.

My insurance quote on a K4 modded CLS wasn't that bad, within £1000.00

It cost me more to insure my old Evo9 FQ360.

Any more advise . . . .

My car keeps going into safe mode, need to switch car off and on for the management light to go off. The car also hesitate in part throttle. It took them 5 attemps to fix the safe mode problem and the hesitation was never eliminated totally. They don't seem to have the answer at the time. It was nervous when you got a 150k car not working right and I didn't wanted to take the car back to dealer, risking loosing my warrenty.

normally they are really good i have had over 50 cars mapped from them.
Tell Rob to map the car back to standard and see what happens??

my point is tha not everyone wants or can afford 10-15k's worth of mods or wants a car that has been heavly modified, me included

If you has money to burn then fair enougt but a complete waste of money IMO....spent the money on something faster in the first place

But if you can afford it the why not

Kleemans are good it cost you around £1000 to get a map, but they are not custom maps.

i know car planet do alot of jap cars, i had a Evo 8 which was mapped by them, but 410bhp felt like 50bhp lol, but i know they have a good rep.

Just ordered my HE from LET waiting for it to come, i will try to get around 700-800 bhp from my e55. As soon as i get the car in the 10s at santapod i will be at peace, got to keep up with the US boys.
We will meet up in Jan - Feb time at the tracks.

No way you getting 800 with out gas mate..

Im going custom HE with twin pumps and 5.5 galon tank in the boot, its being made now..

I bought some really cool 16" wheels (7.4kg each) for the MT's, what you going to use? bought some RENNtech goodies too..

The quest for 10s is too much.. I love my car, dont want to kill it.. its going to be fun watching you..

Sh*t!! I did not know they were TT, standard are same spec as the E55 i think (0-60 etc).. but you cant mess with a modded V10 TT!! Nice find! Spare 60k for a used one?? them you can send it to MTM for 15k in mods!LOL

Yup MTM 730hp.....would like to see matey with the Brabus K8 try it on with that....especially in the wet!

Been in the old RS6 which my aunts chap had and his new V10 one! (also went in a V10 advant at millbrook last year among other things and it was a wet day ) he also has an old S8, a new V10 S8 and an RS4 so he's a bit of an audi nut!! and a bloody well off one . I can see the apeal with audi's VERY well built quite classy fast in all weathers BUT....I was offered his old RS6 before I got the E55 which would have been a better buy, one owner and 15k on the clock but I pefer the merc AMG's and "M" bmw's but the RS audi's are still bloody nice

My mate is an Audi main dealer master tech and he said although they are very quick cars the RS6 models are not exactly hard wearing, he said he has barely worked on one that hasnt had an engine or gearbox replacement at some point!! I had loads of M cars and found them very reliable and apart from double vanos issues on the M3 and chewed up SMG boxes they are pretty good. My next power house will be an AMG though, i want an SL55 with as many mods as i can throw at the engine but with everything else looking fairly standard.....

Both very good M cars the E36 + E46 Owned several BMW's M's + alpina's etc over the years an I was looking at getting an M5 but a really bad experience with 2 BMW dealers and shocking cutomer service made my mind up to sell my last car which was a BMW Z4 M coupe and never buy a BMW again! well not one that was still under a BMW warranty anyway! and a as good as M cars are faults and poor service aside the Z4 M was a poor car which I grew to hate it in the end and sold it with only 4k on the clock! hence why I got the AMG + never owned a merc before. Every other M ive tried mind are very good even if im not a huge fan of their SMG type boxes on the later M3'3 etc

I guess that the chap I know has been lucky then as in the time Ive known him he's owned or still own's an ABT tuned + wheels etc S4 cab, early S8, latest S8, Early RS6 and the present one and an RS4 and other tha the odd silly service bill which lets face it comes with these type of cars at times he's never had a single fault that Im aware of

All cars have horror storys like ive heard that a few people have had to replace the SMG boxes in the current M5's at around 17k out of warranty and early M5's had problems with the vanos you mentioned but many had their engines replace due to excesive use of oil and engines failing, mate had the diff go on his low miles M3 an my Z4 was in and out my dealer constantly with warrarany issues! just the way it goes

Some people are lucky and rarely sum get a friday afternoon car thats nothing but trouble
