Le Mans

is it still making it's way back to the Bat Cave for repairs? or have they abandoned it?

not sure... it was unlucky but only about 2% on the Ant Davidson scale of 5h!T 'appens...

I wondered if the driver that hit the Batwing looked in his mirror and spotted the headlight of a car slightly behind him. What he didn't realise was the the headlight he saw, was the outer rear Wing light of the Batmobile and so he driver hadn't spotted the long nose that was alongside him :(

I didn't think Batman did anything wrong? Just the schonky Peugeot/Toshiba driving :(

To return to the race... it looks like the second toyota is in mechanical trouble... which is a shame.. it pains me for Audi to win unopposed.

Why can't we go back to Group C Jag / Merc / Porsche / Peugeot - halcyon days for me...

here is my friend Kris racing at Le Man in 87 i think...

As posted in GeordieAmanda's post, most corporate racing teams are run by the marketing department, where as Audi's is run by the Engineering department.

The first rule of racing is to get the car across the finish line.

I assume that 962 is just pitching into Indianapolis?

not my picture... sadly i never got to see Kris race in sports cars as he had his big crash in Japan - I saw him in DTM / touring cars.. being in the pits when he won 24hr @ the Ring was special!

they have some good people in VAG... see pic above..

My BIL used to live in Braunschweig for a while.

I think it's shameful how the UK has gone from being a nation led by engineers, so dominating most of the World, to being led by salesmen, who generally know nothing, other than how to max out their personal commission payments.

It gives short term gain, but long term pain.
