i have a 1993 300ce leaking at the corner of the timing cover, bottom were the seal touches the cylinder head.
i have changed the seal 3 times and can not get it to stop leaking.
i cleaned it very well the groove with brake fluid cleaner
used silicone gasket maker to seal it,i put sealant in the grove and on top of the seal(maybe this is my problem) the sealant will not seal to the cylinder gasket and always leaks.\\.
any body know how to fix this problem once and for all
is it because i am not using the Mercedes sealant #? "002 989 45 20"
im ready to change the head gasket ,wich will be brand new and oil free, but id rather not if there is a way to fix it without re and re the heads
please anybody with knowledge , help help
