Least impressive selling point!

"Needs a little attention, easy fix"

'apart from few age related marks, as you'd expect', NEVER includes an image of the bolster!

"Unfinished project. Just need finishing touches to complete."

Classic car adverts, car might be 1960s/1970s etc., with comments similar to 'Only XXXX miles, MOTs back to 1995 (or similar) to prove mileage.

What about the other 10/20/30 years?

I've just seen these in ebay adverts. 'I bought the car almost exactly a year ago' and 'fully restored but now needs some work doing'

Unfortunately both Citroen Cx estates :(

Why does this guy hate Americans so much?

And there's a reason cars don't have red wheels

My personal pet hate is the 'rare limited edition'. The reason it's rare is nobody ever wanted it

If I was looking for one, that Beige Familialle would be interesting. It needs the restoration finishing off as it was never finished, but the rest looks good.

I must admit it does look like the pick of the bunch of the ebay cx's at the moment. I'm still not totally convinced yet but I have a feeling one day I will end up with one of those. I always end up looking at them on the internet (don't tell the mrs)

Cambelt changed less than xxx miles ago. What they dont tell you is that its much older than is recommended!

I drove a CX 2500 DTR Turbo 2 a couple of months ago. The chap was unsure whether he had overpaid at £1800 as he knew nothing about them and bought it on a whim on ebay.

He sure wasn't going to lose any money on it...

There is a turbo 2 on ebay at the moment I believe. Don't know a lot about them to be honest.

That's a petrol GTi Turbo 2, not a Diesel.

The 2 bit means it has an intercooler, not just a turbo. GTi T2 are quick cars, something over 180Bhp.

Due to time constraints, I declined a DTR T2 with rusty roof, as the only proper repair is a new roof panel due to the sunroof fitment causing rust under the skin.

Nice cars though. If you fancy a project and can weld, I would buy one.

I had a GTI Turbo 2 for a few years (last of my 7 CXs). Performance nothing to write home about, looked like a hatchback, and should have been, but wasn't, but the main thing that (eventually) put me off was the wind noise at speed, despite its much-trumpeted 0.29 drag coefficient. I'd not have another.
