Location of W124 RCL brain?

Can anyone tell me where the "brain" for RCL locking on a W124 estate lives?

It doesn't appear to be under the metal tray in the passenger footwell. Is it under the rear seat on the driver's side?

Anyone have a part number for it?

Under the rear seat nearside? Offside has the vacuum pump I think?? Thats on the coupe estate may be different?

Estates have the pump on the nearside. I think the comfort relay is on the offside so maybe the brain is with that

I will have a look tomorrow - just wondered if someone had done this already

That's the comfort relay, the unit for the remote locking is much smaller, and sometimes to be found under the steering column - depending if it's a dealer fit or factory fit...

RCL brain is A124 820 59 26
Comfort relay is 202 820 10 26 [08] or 202 820 09 26 [01], etc

Bracket it attatches to attatches to "right side member", so perhaps in the boot near the first aid kit?

Or maybe it is with the comfort relay?

Time to get the tools out...

On very late cars it appears to be behind the front passenger airbag?

also " for vehicles as 0 03/94 with for (D) and code 855 the infra red remote control unit module as well as the pneumatic control module with logic circuit sn1 sn2 from series 202 are installed ?? so is it part of that comfort relay 202 unit----- its big enough??

A non-MB book I looked at yesterday suggested it was in the dash behind the passenger airbag. Doesn't make much sense to me as the rest of the kit all leads back to the Comfort relay
