On an "enthusiastic" drive back from Cambridge today I noticed on bumpy, fast sweeping bends the rear of the car seemed to move, not a lack of grip (was there in abundance ) more like the body shifting over the suspension, like a worn link or failing shocker.
Also noticed on bumpy straights, at high speeds, the car seemed to rock on the diagonal, FNS to OSR.
Car is going in for a B service next week so will mention this but does anyone have any suggestions?

Obvious one is tyre pressures - you've checked them?

It could be a subframe bush that is worn.

I've said it many times and no doubt I'll say it again. Hindsight is a useless talent which usually does no one any favours.

If the symptoms are as you describe, why leave it? The remedy could be simple.... Under inflated tyres, but it might not be. Far better to be safe than sorry?

I agree, last summer I had a loose rear end that caused me to crash. get it checked asap.

SHOCKER GONE would be my guess, Have a shufti under the wing to look for signs of hydraulic fluid leaking down the body of the shock a good indication its gone. Not too expensive to repair --replace both even if only one is gone.

Did stop on the journey to check it wasn't a puncture, all fine. Checked pressures this morning all fine.

Tend to run my tyres at the top end of recommended, checked 'em anywway and all fine.
Car drive fine at lower speeds and I can't elicit any bounce or movement by leaning on it in the driveway. Did wonder if it was a blown shocker but its generally well controlled. Would have thought it would be noticable at all speeds if that were the case?
