Lost Sprinter radio code

Hi all,
I recently bought an '02 Sprinter. The seller gave me the radio code but when I tried to use it after changing the battery it turned out to be the wrong one (4 digits instead of 5).

So - can anyone suggest how I can get around this please? I've tried phoning Mercedes but they haven't been too helpful. AFAIK the radio is the original rubbish AM/FM radio/cassette unit.

I'm surprised the you got no joy from MB over the phone. If you take your V5 and proof of your identity to a MB dealer they should obtain the code for you.

Can you post or PM the VIN and the radio code you have from the previous owner, just for us to check if it is correct.
