Got -8.5 near Swindon at 7:50 this morning (and so did the guy who sits at the desk next to me) if it's that cold down here what's it like up north!

Actually isn't this cold weather swinging in from the south anyway?

Got -6 at around 8.00 this morning in Woking, Surrey. It never gets this cold here...

Saw -7 in Guildford increasing to -4 in Woking at 8.30am.

-3C this morning (-11C further north) but up to 2C now.

+2  I've just been out to drop the daughters boyfriend home and it's -6.5 down here now.

It's nice for it to be this way around for a change rather than you guys basking in the warm weather! :D

We had a very mild winter last year - only filled the coal store twice from October to March. Have filled it twice already so far this winter! Thank goodness oil prices have come down or the Merc would have had to go....

-8 deg C in Staffordshire at 0800 this morning.

Car temp display started at -6 deg C in Portsmouth this morning and had decreased to -8.5 by the time I reached Basingstoke (09:30)! No idea how accurate these sensors are though... Mind you, at least one of the brakes had initially frozen up

Must be some northern temps in double figures, I'd have thought...? ;)

Which is why I was quite suprised when the guy next to me in the office had registered the same temp on the same stretch of road (in a BMW) - could both be inaccurate of course, but consistent at least.

-7 here, so far. Colder tonight I think.

The coldness is a result of the La Nina Southern Ocean oscillations. Should be back to sunbathing at Christmas in a year or two..:bannana:
