It is strange how topics can go so far off track, but back on topic, I saw a squirrel today!

Red or grey?

He lives in Leicestershire.....so it will be grey! .....red squirrels are confined to Scotland, pockets of northern England and Wales and small islands off England's south coast.

I saw my first ever red one on the IOW back in August........much smaller than the greys....no wonder the greys drove them out so easily.

RED !! I hear they still exist , but iv never seen one . Saw some completely black ones running about when I was in Canada recently .

@markjay grey, there's a large colony near where I live.
@ALFAitalia Indeed! Saw some red ones in Anglesey a few years back though!
