It least its got a proper engine and not a silly 4 pot like the C63........That will be more than enough to tempt some current C63 owners away.

In my opinion "C63" Should have been retired when the last Mercedes Benz N/A 6.2 V8 rolled off the production line , But then hen again I do not work in the marketing/accounts department of a large German car manufacturer.

Nah....the 4.0TT is one hell of an engine and lives up to the C63 image and heritage.......and sounds like one. No 4 pot 2.0l hybrid is ever going to sound that good! On a side note I saw a 6.2 Litre Ram Pickup the other day....on a sticker on the back it said........ "2 litres is a soft drink size....NOT an engine capacity!"

I have no doubt the car is outstanding. Look at the price though.

That's not a lot less than I paid for my Ferrari.

So V12 Ferrari (albeit used) or BMW M3 touring and if you're buying on finance as more than 85% will be, the Ferrari will cost (substantially) less as it's already depreciated.

It's how I ended up where I did as I was originally contemplating a new Alpina B5 Touring for similar money to the M3. The Ferrari worked out cheaper including running/maintenance costs.

So many £100K cars now that it makes you think what else you could buy that's a little left field or maybe you hadn't previously considered.

86k not 110k

Circa 90k for the amg -

Not much point comparing any new car against any used car.

And the Ferrari will be worth considerably more than that BMW in 5 years time.

A 2.0 c63 even more so.
Are you chopping in the BS for the M3 then?
If you can put up with the ugliness of that M3 you'd have enough left over to buy a decent W205 C63 when you need to drive a car that sounds and looks far nicer;)

Yes, new vs used is a different proposition but it's a question anyone buying a car can sensibly ask themselves. If you're comparing two similarly priced cars that's 100% a fair comparison.
