My C class Sport has the leather seats and unfortunately has no map pockets on the back. The only place I have found to leave the map is at the side of the seat where invariably it flies forward if I have to brake hard. Not ideal!

I looked in the accessory catalogue and found the following two potential solutions;

Part No. B6 781 1117 - Map Holder Crosswise
Part No. B6 781 1116 - Map Holder Lengthwise

Problem is, my local dealer has no idea what these parts are, where they fit, or even if they will solve my problems! Also, if I order them in I have to buy them!!!

Has anyone fitted these or do they know what they are? Perhaps someone has a better solution?

All ideas gratefully received!

Hmm , curious .. my car has leather seats and is about the same vintage as yours , but it has wee map pockets on the back of the front seats.

One solution is to get dvd sat nav.. Failing the £2k lying about festering .... koolvin had a wee net for his passenger footwell , maybe he can let you know the part number of it.

Thanks Fuzzer, nice lateral thinking on the sat-nav but I think I'll pass!

I am getting the footwell net as that's a good solution. But I'm still curious to know what these other things are! Are your map pockets net style or leather or what?

Adam

Cream leather pockets on the back of the seats running the whole width and length of what is prob contoured for knees on yours

you can feel the rough leather on the back and its elasticated on the top.

Maybe they only came on the elegance models , would explain it.

Ill snap a pic at some point ... but they are just big leather pockets.

The map holder is this:

K:  that's the footwell stringy net thing  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> and is listed as such in the accessoriy booklet.  Alan, is correct in that the 2 other items are listed with different names and part numbers, but unfortunatley no photos. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>
