Mattress on the roof of a W124 estate?

Well? Did you take the mattress on the roof in the end...or did I miss something. I managed to squeeze a superking size mattress and a sleigh bed in the boot of my 124 estate. That mattress was also pocket sprung

Short answer - no.

I was strongly "encouraged" not to do it by my wife, then they didn't have the mattress on a suitable day for me to collect, so I ended up paying to have it delivered. I'd even bought decent ratchet straps to secure it propery, none of that bungee rope nonsense for me :D
