MB Free Health Check

Ian

Spoke to the dealer today and because my car has got majority Indy stamps there is no way I can ever qualify for Mobilo ;-( He said cars that are post 04 can leave the MB network and as long as they have it looked at again by MB main dealer it will reinstate mobilo. The whole policy stinks, im sure they make it up as they go along. The moral of this story is buy a car with full MB service history i guess.......

its no major loss, AA/Greenflag/RAC cover can be bought easily with the savings of serviving the car @ indie over dealer and more offer more comprehensive service. Only downer is re your rust claim. It stinks. a 6yr old car simply shouldnt rust

Without Mercedes having had at least one go at repairing it...

Booked in for a free health check this saturday at mb redhill, got a 3 months parts/labour warranty 2 weeks ago from the independant dealer i bought my car from so if anything comes up during the health check i hope it's covered in the warranty!

I think your in for a shock if you turn up saturday at 9pm mate!

Agreed;i'd better make it AM.

Took my clk320 cab to mb redhill for free health check today, came back with front brake pads 80% worn & leak from gearbox,£306.37 incl parts, labour&vat to sort out(not such a free health check after all!)

Well i got there at 9AM asked them to check as tyre pressure monitor keeps throwing up a fault, and it seems have a cracked alloy wheel, they showed me whilst car was on the ramps, its on the inside rim about 20 mm long. Its a special order wheel and will not be covered by warranty, apart from that all is well.anyone know where i canget a wheel part MB6 6 03 1230 N/STK LU 8.5JX19H2 that is not going to cost the price of a small car,i would like it to be a genuine part, help appreciated.

Have you tried ringing euro carparts?(they supply mb genuine parts & prices are usually cheaper than mb main dealers)

The free health check I had a few weeks prompted the tech to adjust the rear tyre pressures from the fully loaded 39PSI down to the lightest loaded 32PSI. I'd been meaning to pump them back up again but had forgotten. When do I remember??

...at about 2300 on the night before setting out on an 0345 start journey. Doh!!

Thorough though, I guess.
