Free Mercedes Winter Health Check

When I read Free Winter Health Check I am always reminded of Mary Howitt 's poem.

“Will you walk into my parlour?” said the Spider to the Fly,
Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy;
The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,
And I've a many curious things to show when you are there.”

Must be getting cynical in my old age. ;)

Wouldn't take my car into my local MB dealership. Its been to them twice in the last 3 months, first time I asked them to do a full alignment, they said they couldn't get it to align and handed me a £3,700 'quote' for repairs, the car drove like it was doing the Macarena afterwards (turned out the ball joints needed doing and this was the only issue according to my indie, MB wanted to replace half the suspension, car drives great now)

Second time it went in fine, asked them to 'fit' Mercedes Me adapter, came out with an engine warning light on needing an £1000 swirl motor replacement (fixed for 9p thanks to this forum). Im not a huge fan of coincidence but maybe thats all it was.

Both these incidents mean I avoid the dealers at all costs.

mine had the summer check in Aug, phoned the dealer and asked if it was worth having the winter check and the service manager agreed no point, but he did say if I pop in he`d leave the free blanket at reception for me.

some dealerships are better than others, I guess it all depends on the people working there.

Applied for this twice now online with no result, not even a confirmation. Ah well........

Same here, filled out online form twice this year and nothing

Ring your local dealer and ask if they can book you in directly :)

The first time I used the form I didn't get a call back, tried again and I got a phone call within an hour or two after.

Never got back to me neither...
