Roger Jones - Thank you for the recommendation Roger.
Willow32 - Symptoms occur when cold only. First thing in the morning, when I attempt to reverse out of my sloped towards house driveway, the car will stall, unless I give the accelerator some beans. This results in me dangerously shooting out onto the road !
If I let it warm up on drive, symptoms reduce.Once I am off the drive and have driven a couple of hundred yards, symptoms disappear - Until starting car from stone cold again.
Forum feedback so far suggests TC clutch binding.
But, it may be as simple as low ATF.
I dont have a dipstick to check the ATF.
As the car doesnt go into limp, not sure any codes will be generated either.
I have started a seperate new thread re: symptoms Titled " Gearbox Problem when Cold - W210 E320CDI 2002 "
Your thoughts - OR the loan of a ATF dipstick - Welcomed ! ( Tongue in cheek )
