Hi all,

I have a '98 v-class v6 petrol which had a CO emission of 9%. After replacing the catalyst we reduced this to 3% which unfortunately is still to high. So i got this obd device to get to the problem. My problem now is that i can't seem to find the meaning of the codes it returned: 758, 1235, 1247, 1125, 1265 and 553.
I really hope there is someone out there who can tell me what all these numbers mean.

The codes are only half the info.

You need live data to see the full picture.

With this car a Star is your best bet. They are quite tricky to diagnose without the right equipment.

As I have found out an OBD2 reader will only point roughly to the problem on the car.
If you are lucky you may be able to track the problem down and then at the next service get its "STAR" parameters sorted.
However chances are you may well need to give it the "STAR" treatment straight away so that damage is not caused.
Make sure you leave the "STAR" treatment in capable hands - there are many horror stories of so called expert diagnosis that have emptied many a wallet unnecessarily.
BlackC55 has an excellent reputation - people travel long distances because of his competence - and no I dont know him and have never met him - although I do know someone who was extremely pleased with the work done on their car.

Thank you guys for your time and answers.. I'll go to a Mercedes dealer next week to get it checked by a pro.
