Meet & Drive - Sat 29th Sept?

I would be up for this but Sunday is the only day I can do. I am at football now but will check this thread later to see if there is any consensus of opinion on which day.
Are wives invited? Please say no. !.

i think the idea of a regular monthly meeting would be good
most people are quite busy with one thing or another so getting a set meeting in the diaries might help even if people cant make each meeting there might be a core of people attending
..just thinking

proper groups meet regularly:D

Hey buddy.

We'll see how the weather goes and see what day we end up doing this on :thumb:

Yes, wives can come along :)

Yes, regular meets would be good :)

Let's keep this thread about this weekend though, in case the arrangements get lost in amongst side thoughts.

Please don't think I'm being rude bud, I just don't want people to be rifling through pages to find out what the plans are for this weekend :)

.. The last bluewater meet thread springs to mind!
Lol!

We can start another thread about a regular meet :)

Rash,

I hope to be able to join you but wont be able to confirm until tomorrow.

Thanks for diligent questioning around the quality of the parking facilities, you could suggest they email you a picture!

Great news that you may be able to join us.
Ok, let me know whether you can make it.

Sorry to you all for having to wait a couple more days before deciding on what day to do this on.. Just waiting to see what the weather will be doing

Cut me some slack guys... You should all know what I'm like by now

Lol! :D

Parking facilities.. Lol.. Yes, you can count on me to prioritise that! Lol
Email pictures.. Heehee.. True. But I managed to scope them out well enough using google earth's helpful little yellow man :D

It's looking like saturday guys.

Sorry to all those that can't make saturday :(.... but saturday is looking to be the dry day of the weekend.

If both days end up being dry, I guess we could take a vote to see which day is most prefered and go with that. But it's looking like saturday at the moment judging by the weather.

I'm good for Saturday

Ok guys,

I've been thinking about a route - rather than meeting and driving around aimlessly and then heading for lunch. lol!

So,

I'm thinking we could incorporate 3 of my suggested venues..

Would do you think of this...

1) Meet at Clackett @ 9.30am

2) Drive and re-group at The Trevor Arms (BN5 6SS)

3) Drive and re-group at The Plough Inn (BN7 3DF)

4) Drive and re-group at The Red Barn for lunch for around 12.00pm(RH7 6LL)

I'm thinking that this would give us a game plan and also give us destinations that people could head to if we get split up.

It could also mean that people who are located around the destinations could perhaps meet us at one of them if it works out more convenient for them.

Total drive from Clacket services to The Red Barn will be around 2hours (not including the amount of time spent at each stop-off point).

Total distance, around 75 miles.

If you look at the route on google earth, it is abit of a strange one, but it should be ok.

If anyone else has any alternative suggestions, please say.
I've litterally just taken 3 destinations and joined them.

Thoughts??

We could make it longer if you want.. I can just join up some different destinations!

I do have another route we could do.. it would incorporate one of the other destinations I previously mentioned and would mean a total drive of 3hrs 20mins - totalling around 115 miles.

Let me know what you fancy....

Hey buddy! Hope you are well :thumb:

It's a shame you can't do saturday :(, as it is likely that this Meet & Drive will probably take place on saturday.

Weather may change that, but it's looking to be dry everywhere on saturday.

Weather is looking fine for sunday.........

Hi mate,

Yes, it seems it may be ok on both days.

I'll wait until tonight or tomorrow so that it'll be clearer what the weather is doing and then maybe put it to a vote.
