OK ---- a test----- what tells you in that film it was taken in 1983 and not later? EASY ONE for 190 fans this.

You could be correct- I'm not sure on that one--- certainly not like the later all black plastic covered production ones-- that's for sure-- wasn't what I was thinking however.

The biggest give away is the twin w/wiper arms which only came on '83 and '84 cars iirc.

Correct, they're deffo W116 style. The initial production 190's had simple twin wiper arms with the single washer nozzle as you mentioned earlier?

Indeed it had the none panoramic system shown in grober's vid, It's not even shown in the first vid.

IIRC it's an exert from an old Top Gear feature on the 190. The full vid is on the 190 forum somewhere.

Congrats to John Jones Jr and the others who picked up on the wiper thing. I am unsure myself about the panoramic wiper business. The famous " Jumping wiper , supposedly developed for the "about be launched" W124 , was allegedly introduced on the W201 at the 1984 Frankfurt show and stole a march on its bigger brother the W124 whose release was delayed till November of that year in Spain.

So it went twin arms----single panoramic----single jumping wiper---- dates to be determined??
Or was there ever a twin wiper arm version?

My 1984 190 had the non panoramic monoblade wiper , single washer , 14" wheels and no Sacco panels .

The unequal sweep wipers came on the 107 , 116 and 126 models
