Hi, I have been trying desperately to find some pictures of repairs that people have done to the rear jacking points on the w123 and in particular how they are attached. I have clear access as the rot is cut out but I can't work out if the jacking point should be attached to the bottom of the outer sill as well as the top and if it is also connected to the inner sill, and if so how, there are loads of repairs to the outer sill featured but I cannot find any that illustrate how the jack point should look before the outer sill hides everything.
HELP!!!!!!!!

Do you really intend using the jacking point? No one would advise using it so you could just make it tidy. It would be too much of a risk of it collapsing no matter how good a job you did. Got access to the EPC? Might show the order of assembly if you really do want to do it properly. There is always 123 World and of course the Mercedes-Benz Club if you want to join.

Thanks for that, My concern is the last owner gave me the mot fail sheet which stated "structure" so I wanted to do it correctly, I agree about using these jack points and i didnt intend to but I just want to be sure that it's tied in where it should be and that mr mot man will be happy.

From the description grober has given it sounds like the same as a 202, I had to have mine done on my AMG there is a thread with loads of pics somewhere showing how mine was repaired that might be of some help to you.
Found the thread, there are some really good shots of both the front and rear jacking points that might give you an idea of what yours should look like when finished,

Excellent illustration of the type of substantial internal re-enforcing required round these jacking points. :thumb:
