Microphone Conector

I have purchased and commenced installing my NTG2.5 into my W211 2003 E240! The only problem is when i went to fit the microphone extension cable!

I have seen guides that require the back seat to be taken apart, but upon doing so i couldn't find anything!
My car has phone pre-wiring as i had a VISEO unit it it before and it work great!

I purchased my kit from Comand Online!

Can anyone guide me, or share a link that gives some form of guidance, preferably with images?

Its probably just into the boot area and needs pulling back through to the car area. You can also go to upward to the mirror instead and plug into the mic connector there
(mice are in the mirror)

I did fine one connector that looks as if it might be the correct one! i will try it out and see how i go! Otherwise i will pull apart the mirror!

There's only 1 connector near that seat area that fits. The other is above the mirror , accessible when the overheard light unit is dropped down

Microphone Wiring

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the valuable info! I am moving from AUDIO 20 to NTG 2.5 on a W211 E200 2003. I already bought the microphone extension cable to re-use the existing mic.

Problem is, I am not sure how the microphone wiring should go from the back of the COMAND unit to the back seats. Can you give a pointer about the path the wire must follow to reach under the back seats?

I'm in Germany and my car is therefore left hand drive. I'm not sure if you know if it makes a difference which side the wiring ducts are.
