C63
Hello All,
I have a problem, i hope some of you guys may shed some light on it.
I have a c63 w204, i bought it from a mercedes dealer last year used, with 2 previous owners.
In the last month the car has had some major electrical problems.
All electrics just refuesed to work whilst driving
This happend on and off very regularly every 3 minutes
The car went to the dealers
And i am being told a milage blocking chip has been found in the ignition.
I havd owned the car since last year july, and have put on approx
12,000 genuine miles on it. They say this chip is the cause of the problem, and want £1000 to install a new igntion . Car is in warranty, but saying i have to pay because of the modifaction
For which i have genuinley not known about.
After some internet research. It appears this chip is a 'can blocker'
What do i do?
Thank you. Any help is appreciated

Consumer Rights act 2015 - if YOU can prove the chip was there when you bought the car, they have to do the work for free (or at least you can take them to small claims if they don't). I don't know if you can do this though? (an admission from them would help!)

Hope this helps
