Have to recommend Paul from Leather repair: Leather furniture repairs restoration Leather Cleaner Kit
Based in Blackpool he'd already worked miracles on my worn bolster in my '94 SL to the point of not being able to tell it had been repaired. I have to stress - the bolster was *seriously* worn with a 2 to 3 inch hole running up the seam. Now the seat is perfect.
He then noticed a slight tear on one of the seams of the base of the driver's seat so sewed that up as well.
He's been out today to sew up the canvas hood on my SL. Spent hours sealing up both sides of the rear plastic window even though the stitching had only come away from about 3 inches worth.
Fabulous job with massive attention to detail - if you ever need a leather seat repairing etc please look him up.
Oh, he really knows his Mercs too. A minefield of info!
