hi to all on the site im a new member.i have a problem with my a140 y reg it not running right it seems to be missing ive changed the plugs and tried a new ignition coil but its still not running right i just wondered if anybody had any ideas before i take it to the garage. thanks to all that reply.

Air mass sensor I suspect.
Take it to a specialist and they should be able to diagnose it.

air mass sensor is part of the engine control unit and very costly .
however there are specialists that will repair just the air mass for a fraction of the cost .
mercedes will only sell you a new complete monolith / control unit which will only be able to be coded in with a star machine via mercedes

It will not work forever after you have cleaned it. Some a coulple of weeks, some a couple of months.

thanks black c55 the reason i cleaned it was i took it into national tires for a service and i think when he had a look at the air filter [ didnt change it ] he put it back wrong he didnt put the holder across to hold it in place it was just rolling around i think he didnt change the plugs as well because when i took them out they where black after only 200 miles.anyway at the moment it runs fine im hoping the problem is solved because i know the airmass sensor are expensive its in for m.o.t this friday i hope nothing else goes wrong. thank for all your help chez.
