ML 350 fuel consumption anyone?

Hello,


Firstly i only do around 6k miles a year, Ive noticed the ML350's (3.7) quite good value and low miles compared to the ML270 ?

My current car does around 20mpg most of the time although very steady I can get 30mpg.

What do people get out of a 350?

could I expect 20 in town and 25 at 70 on the m-way or is that miles away?...

also thanks for replies on the 270cdi as its still on my shortlist..it would have to be auto though.

My ML320 averages 20mpg and upto 27mpg on a long run, I would think the 350 to be about the same.

My ML did between 16 - 24 mpg, Not light footed though!(because is a slow heavy old thing!)

I would go for the bigger engine, as you find the mpg difference greatly outweighed by the performance!
