ML Tailgate and rear wiper non functioning

Have issues with ml 270. Stripped rear tailgate as door will not open via central locking can only override by manually throwing switch. Removed servo/actuator put 12v across and throws in both directions. so appears functioning correctly. When wired up if I manually close tailgate latch with tailgate open and operate key fob you can see the servo/actuator working for the lock position but absolutely no movement for open. Guessing relay but have no idea where or number. Wiper does not operate by switch on dash, so no power to rear tailgate for these items. Please help :-)
Also if you happen to have knowledge re ac unit, I am having water appear in passenger footwell when ac has been on and it ends up absolutely soaked. any ideas am thinking pipe blocked for "condensing side" but don't know why it would end up in footwell. again please help :-)
 
Ac wet floor possibly fixed i believe.

No pipe coming from black box in footwell through grommet, so have put a piece of hose on out through bulkhead. hopefully that will solve that issue. Just the feed to the rear tailgate and wiper now, if anyone has any ideas?
 
o.k floor sorted, have found additional electrical fault, rear door windows do not operate either up or down. Rear quarter windows do operate. I doubt this is connected with the rear tailgate issue (won't unlock electrically and rear wiper non functioning) which is still unsolved.
 
OK, what type of ML is this and what age ?

If its a W164 then your rear SAM has probably got wet, below fusebox on right hand side in boot (they moved it in the last of the W164 to under rear seat)

But i think ML270 are all the older W163 - especially as you mention the rear quarter lights .... so my info may be useless

Its a 2001 ml 270.
Got round the tailgate issue by running an earth off the relay that operates the doors. The earth has gone for some reason. Still no rear wipe and now have two new problems. The servo has started hissing when the pedal is not depressed (at least its not as f*ckin depressed as I'm getting with this car!!) and also more worrying gearbox issues, not changing up. Having to put into neutral then back into drive whilst driving to get it to change up at around 50mph. alternatively pulling over switching off restarting seems to reset it but today lost lot of power at low speed seems to be slipping!!! Checked oil level in box with stick I bought off of the bay about 500 miles ago and all seemed fine. About to search forums for some answers on that one. Fingers crossed. Trouble is car is in Spain and getting parts is aggro. Have filter and oil for box but didn't want to do it before as all was well and seemed correct and read about bolts shearing so thought could cause me additional problems.....
