ML270 heater plug light

Hi all

Having just broken the bank putting right a huge list of problems with our '02 ML270, the heater plug light is now staying on after starting... From reading the forums it looks like it could be a faulty plug, or relay, or fuse.

Just wondering if it's safe to just let it be for the time being, bearing in mind I have no funds and its the middle of a heatwave!

A common problem usually glow plug failure

Damage risk > minimal

Effect > higher fuel consumption from cold start, poor cold start in lower ambient temperatures
