Mr undecided makes a decision shock

Congratulations Dave, that looks very nice. I like the colour combination.

We once bought a Jag from a Merc dealer (Road Range Pier Head) - great negotiating tactic too you employed too in terms of finance etc, nice one...

The pictures are terrible in fact I was sure I would dislike it based on the pictures. It's got an unusual allure to it and the leather dash and interior quality is way above anything I've experienced before.

Tactic used for the first time was ask for px and HP with superguard and gap insurance then when quote comes back and px bumped to the max say your paying cash and dont want the superguard or gap insurance :D sales chap visibly withered when i did that but all is fair in used motors

I did that buying a VW for my daughter - salesman (and his manager and the finance bod) then spent the best part of 2 hrs trying to get me to agree to finance. I only stuck it out as the deal was good and the car was available from stock (unusual for Golf).

Friend who works for Audi was saying that if they don't sell, finance, gap or paint protection they get penalised.
So he would rather not sell a new car than sell one with out at least one of the above products.

Used cars are probably different ?

Agree, I bought my Audi S3 used and the went through gap insurance and the usual scotch guard stuff and nonsense..

I just said no thanks and they didn't even press the matter once.

Great looking, have we any other CL owners here? they seem to be extremely rare

Very Very nice car you have bought yourself Dave. A guy down the road has a similar age CL500 that he upgraded to from his C43 however yours pips him.

I will take some decent pics as the quality of the leather dash alone surprised me. I need the spec card for it but to get that I need the reg lol

Congrats on the choice, I love those CL's, always have done. The 5 spoke wheels wiill make the world of difference. Lovely!
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the car once you've settled into it, very classy.

Nice one. Will be nice.....with the right wheel it will tranform it :)

I must be able to spot that in Heswal land (is that near where you are) I go up and down the two Mills road quite a lot.
