My beautiful W124 has been Stolen

Got the expected phone call from the police saying they've issued a definitive theft notice, and crime reference.

I guess that's that.

It's just not cool. I'll probably never own another 124 again.... I took really good care of this one as we have since day 1, when we bought car in 1989.

apart from the police not being able to do much, i can't help but find some of my neighbour's attitudes alarming... Especially the one who has cctv pointing at the street. Apparently he was changing the tape that night.

Unbelievable.

If lucky enough to have off-street parking, you can get fold down bollards for less than £100. Sink into concrete. Can't see them bothering to rip one out. Looks like they want to be in & out sharpish, they don't seem to even break glass.

Maybe turn the wheel on full lock with a disklock if on the street so can't be pulled onto a flatbed? If they have a hiab... dunno.
