My CLS55 AMG

Reminds me of the Ford Scorpio :)

agree with the above, really dont like the front grill!, as long as you like it tho... still, easily reversible.

As above Karl

Love the car, grille doesn't look right, have you thought about maybe the distronic style roundel in your std grille, giving it the classy gloss black theme? Imo that would look nice.

I'd put the original grille back on. Your o/s tailpipes look wonky?

One is slightly off, previous owner had reversed into something in its past. Thank you for focusing on positive things, such as the great shine.

+ Thanks for all the comments on the clean pipes

Thanks, im very proud of how they turned out :D

Little update for the new year.

Sold the Brabus style grill, so back to the orignal grill :D - It took one of my mates Girlfriends to tell me it looked like a Vauxhall for me to see the light. Still, I did like the 'Stealth' look. ;)

Visio installed, great piece of kit except once in a while it completely loses the pairing to my phone - around once a month which is odd.

Centre AMG resonator removed and replaced with 2 straight sections of pipe:

Was going to go for an X-Pipe, but after discussing with my indy, they suggested I simply swap over the centre box with 2 straight sections as there already a bridging pipe next to the twin smaller resonators closer to the engine.
Normal driving there is no difference in sound, however start up, idling and foot down it sounds like what I would expect an AMG to sound like. - an angry Norse god. :bannana::bannana::bannana:

Anyone with a stock CLS55 wanting a louder more V8 sound upon accelation should do this while it keeps the OEM noise level for normal driving around town.

Don't suppose you've got before and after sounds on the pipes?

Much prefer the original grill Karl! Are you planning on 19" style 3s?

Apologies for the crap clip sounding like im underwater, my phone doesnt really record it that well :D

Dont listen on a phone or tablet as you wont make out the low frequency sound...

Idling sounds alright though, all 1 sec of it from 0:14

Grill looks much better now :)

sounds good too!

Oooo I like the sound and your review... Tempting me to do it on the E55.

Will it still pass MOT and will I get any droning sound in the cabin (at motorway speeds)?

Yes it will pass an MOT as its only removing a small part of the sound proofing.

No droning at all.
