My new car.......whoop whoop

Nice!. Congratulations, perfect timing with the weather looking up!. More details please, SH? mileage, price etc etc

SH - Full dealer up until 90k then Indy to date at 133k, new gearbox 2007, 11 Months mot, tax, last owner 8 years.....Hardtop in my hallway as know where else to put it lol...........has a rew rust bubble on on the front wings but nothing too bad and no where else. Came with wind deflector too which i will work out how to use,

Soft top good except the plastic windows.....probably get them replaced after the summer as have the hard top .

I like the wheels but did think about putting on standard wheels....there a little noisy on the motorway but i do like the look they give the car.

Oooh and as for price i shall let you take a few guesses.........see if i got myself a bargain or not lol

Nice! Tidy up the front bumper & replace the missing headlamp washer and you'll be set :)

As already mentioned I would personally lose the wheels. The rears aren't too bad but the fronts look like wheel trims IMO :o

I need to get a headlamp washer..... messaged a few scrappies already but no luck, will get the wings and bumper done once we get some bad weather then the garage can have her for a while ..

Can someone buy my 'absolutely amazing' CLK so that I can join the SL club.

Lovely car...well done

Very nice. Some work on the bumper and she'll be perfect.

Whats the insurance like on one of these? Thinking of getting a BMW E36 328i Sport in summer but would defo prefer one of these or the SL280.

I'm going to be 20 with around 2 1/2 years driving experience - no accidents etc.

I guess they are insurance group 20 but can't find any data anywhere?

Thanks.

Nice. I really like the wheels. Replacing them with a set of AMG split rims would probably cost more than you paid for the car anyway.

I am 26 with 2 years no claims.....on a limited mileage policy its £207 fully comp.......but unlimited the cheapest was approx £600 so still not bad......have one there great to drive

Looks good,

For me as you say sort the few scrapes on the front, New wash wipe and grille look dinted? clear indicators and rims polished.

Great if this weather stays good I hope you enjoy it.

one of you has it almost right......but which one....maybe a few more suggestions first lol...

Better for insurance though?

Or am I better off with a nice E36 328i Sport?!

This is the first SL i have had.... not too sure about the differnce in insurance really.....there all going to be fairly high i would have thought.....i even thought about a BMW instead if this but personally i love the drive of the Mercedes and there is just something about being behind the wheel of a Mercedes...

Colour looks good in the pics & I like the orange indicators.
Is it the same engine as my CE if so it's a screamer :0)

Happy topless motoring

Ade

Yeah, theres nothing like driving a Benz, I felt the same way when I drove my fathers 500E and his E280 - amazing cars!

Congrats on the SL, looks like a nice car and I love the wheels, very similar to my OZ splits!

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine:thumb:

By the way, I'm 40 and I pay £307 per year fully comp on a limited mileage policy with no no claims bonus. next year the car qualifies for classic status as it will be 15 years old and I can get an agreed value on it. you should be able to to as well.
