My new Toy CLS 55 AMG

Hi,
Time for another update.
After recently retro fitting Distronic on the CLS I booked the car into Pentangle in Southampton to have the car's data card updated on Vdoc.
On picking the car up after work I was told Peter wanted a chat regarding my car, when moving my car he had noticed something wrong, engine mounts were shot, he said the one on the left had almost completely let go. I asked when he could fit it in but as he was booking just over two weeks in advance, and not wanting to drive the car any more than necessary I rung Olly at PCS and he managed to squeeze me in this afternoon.
Well the mounts were truly shot to bits, the oil was literally was pouring out of them.
I had the two engine and the gearbox mount replaced with genuine MB items. The mounts were so shot the engine was actually sat on the crossmember and the back of the gearbox was sitting an inch lower than It should of been.
I now drives so differently so much smoother no more creaks and groans which I had always thought were suspension bush issues, a couple pics below show the state of the engine mounts.

I had my engine mounts changed as a precaution by the MSL boys when my Kleemanns were installed last July.

Pawel laughed as he extracted the old ones and they were in a similar condition to your ones with oil leaking.

What a difference!

Have you noticed much different with the uprated HE?

I'm thinking about one for mine.

Yes unbelievable difference I cannot believe I had never noticed how bad they were.
I haven't as yet fitted the uprated HE, as I need to get the front bumper repainted at the same time, and a couple of suspect parking sensors replaced, I have also ordered from the states a CF front splitter which is still on route so I am going to do it all at the same time.
From what I can gather the CLS differs slightly to the E in the fact that the original HE can be left in situ and plumbed in series with the new uprated one.
