My SLK has been stolen

Flash said:
Today and yesterday it has been soo hot that it has been impossible to comfortably sit inside any vehicle without air con! Most of the soft tops I have seen these past 2 days have had their roofs/windows up so they must be utilisng the air con

A friend of mine has soft top and she was said that yesterday the heat was so unbearable in slow moving traffic that she had to put the roof up and revert to air con...

My wife has the hood down, windows up and air con on full:crazy:

I was driving the SL yesterday with the hood down and it was OK, lots of nice cold air from the dash vents.

Edit - that's in normal 'auto' mode with the temp set to 21 deg. The aircon acts differently with the hood down, it doesn't attempt to cool the interior of the car when it knows there's no roof!

O man i feel ur pain - but spare a deep thought for me..... Since the pressure valve on the boot release broke -  my boot hasnt worked.

The cabrio boot was fine until i stupidly forgot to put the divider in the right position such that the sensor was deactive allowing the cab to open and hood down....

NOW I CANT GET TO THE BOOT OR PUT THE HOOD DOWN....... So it is windows up and Air on on for me....

ps anyone got any idea how to deactivate the hood sensor in the boot ???  ......... without being able to get into the boot !!!! if that makes sense !!!!

I'm with Ady on this one! I'm insured on her car, but my car is mine alone.

My insurance dropped by £35.00 with my wife as named driver.

Why? The pairing is usually hairdressers/girls car - so if you can't see a hairdresser driving one that would suggest you can't see a girl driving one - hmmmmm - :p :p you aint seen this girl driving an AMG

Air Con? Bunch of pansies, get hot :D You pay good money to go to a sauna. The drivers window on my 260 is stuck up  I have no choice :D :D

Lol...not a chance! My other half will be 21 in August, and has had her licence for about 9 months. My premiums would double to put her on the C-class

Yeh, well, my insurance dropped £50 by insuring wifey, now I need to spend around £100 on the wheel repair:mad:

That's exackly what wifey says:crazy:

It's "only" a car if there's an accident or something that involves serious injury risk etc - other than that there's no such thing as "only" when referring to an MB :p You might need to either get a new wifey or re-educate her:p :D

I agree, but wifey has had a company cars for the last 20 years and so just hands them back every three for a nice shiney new one  For her, it is a tool that she needs to do her job. As for me; well, I've had company cars for 18 years but opted out for tax reasons (my last car was also a MB), but I've always looked after them.ie cleaning both cars once a week.

It's taken me 25 years to get back into a roadster (previously owned Triumph Spitfires, MGB and AH Sprite), as both my kids have now finished uni, so you could say that I fit nicely into the 'Mid Life Crises' category, but who cares; I love the car, it reminds me of the MGB with the retro dials and wooden dash and when needed, goes like stink!

It's possible that I'm becoming obsessive with cleaning and polishing, but this has become a bit of a hobby. I think you tend to treat your own cars slightly differently to leased or hire cars, but maybe I'm turning into a sad old git!
