N6300 Cradle and iphone 3GS

Hi,

I have a N6300 cradle in my C270 CDI avantgarde. when I press the bluetooth button on it it flashes for a while and then I can detect the cradle using bluetooth on my iphone. My iphone then asks for a code in order to pair the devices. I input 62872 (a code which I found on several other threads).. the phone then thinks about connecting for a while but eventually fails.

Am I doing something wrong? do I actually need some other bluetooth adapter in order to make this work? Any help is much appreciated.

The phone specific cradles although they use bluetooth to connect to the phone they wont work with any other make or model of phone apart from the one that cradle is for.
