Names at Milton Keynes please.

Fingers crossed for a quality repair :), still a hassle that you shouldn't have to be facing with an 8 year old, cherished car :(

From experience and feed back monkeys can apparently do a better paint job then the boys at Brentford...!

Hope they do the job to your satisfaction.

Does it matter? ;)

A result is a result is a result

John

I think you misunderstood John.

Aka$h and I were talking on the phone about bodywork repair issues and at the same time Peter posted his result.

Hence the reason as to why he quoted me and posted regarding timing.

You will be pleased to know the C43 was dropped off at Brooklands this morning to be taken to MB Brentford's body shop to be repaired.

It seems that the three recorded delivery letters i sent to Milton Keynes did the trick. I have not had an a official reply to my letters from Milton Keynes as yet.

I received a phone call from Brentford saying the work had been approved. I asked about the U turn as the day before i received a letter from Holland rejecting my claim stating it was over two years since the last repair and it was out of warranty. He said he did not know the reason only that had been instructed by the Body shop manager to arrange for the work to be done. I did ask for the manager to contact me to explain, still waiting.

So we have a very nice A Class 180 CDi to run around in while the rust on the corner of the sunroof is being repaired and if they do the job properly this time we won't have to go through this performance again.

Many thanks lads for the information.

The moral of this story is Keep Writing and don't give up.

did you mention you had bought a new S class recently too .. no doubt that helped if you did :)

Yes and i sent a couple of photo's of the C43 as well to give them a clue as to how i look after my cars also MY full MB history.

Picked up the C43 from Brooklands this morning. The job looks first class. Saying that two years ago i thought the same, lets hope they have done the job properly this time.

I have not had a reply from the letter's i sent to Milton Keynes and very difficult to get a response from the body shop manager at Brentford.

Hi Peter,

If I were you I'd just let it go. You got the job done so just leave it at that I guess :)

True that they should have the decency to talk to you about it, but these lot can really make you jump through hoops to get it sorted.

In my situation, I was also told that they were going to get the job done, and the service manager spoke to me off the record, but nothing was ever put in writing.

After the battle I had, I was just happy with getting the job done :)

I do sometimes like to rock the boat. I am taking the SClass for it's first service at Brooklands, beginning of December so i will ask if they have a clue.

Hi all
I've just had a bodywork claim turned down and would be gratefull if some one could give me contact details of the best place to send my complaint
