Need a C250CDI ECU Remap.......

Can anyone suggest where i can get my car professionally remapped??

Thus far i've had various advice, don't use plug an plays as they cause black smoking in deisel engines, also been told the file upload versions are risky as they can cuase perminant problems or software conflicts, so a custom ECU remap of the origanal software is what i've been told is the most robust and reliable way forward!!??

Can anyone confirm or give their own experiences with remapping?
