Need new computer advice appreciated

you could also look at the dell outlet!

www.dell.co.uk/outlet

These are generally systems that have been made up to a customers own spec and the customer decided against it for whatever reason. But take care to look at the inventory notes:

I got my XPS 720 system from there for under £700 - bargain! (considering at the time they were retailing for over £1500!)

I've 3 Packard Bell pcs in my office, one died earlier this evening after 3+ years of non stop business use - which is sort of ok in my book as it was creaking a bit with some current software.. (suspect HD failure).. however I wouldn't buy another as the other two came with loads of bloatware - they were just the best deal from PC World on the day...

Can anyone suggest an off the peg mid spec pc which comes without said 'free trial' software as the first thing I do is try to remove it all and occassionaly live with gremlins which result (Norton Antivirus anyone...)

Ade

not been a good computer day as Mrs B also dropped our laptop breaking the corner off... :(

What's your budget?
Is it just the box you're after or a new monitor etc too?
