on my licence. If I get to December 13th this year it will be 20 years since a policeman had a word with me. What are you all like?

All clean since Jan this year, first time since 1997 I'm afraid. Intent to keep it that way.

I passed my driving test at 17 years old, I'm 34 now and have never had any points.....just one verbal warning.......touch wood that's 17 years and counting :)

None currently, but had three a while back ....

For speeding

I was upto 11 points once

got 8 in one week!

I don't know how all you guys have managed to escape. Round here (East Hampshire), the local council has made huge stretches of our roads 30 mph. The Police enforce them with randomly placed "Safety Camera" Vans. My family have accrued many points for entering the villages at 36 mph......
I do of course realise that we are serious criminals and that is reflected in the dim view (and extra premiums) taken by our insurance companies.

That sounds familiar, I passed when 17 and had one verbal warning when 20ish and never had any points. :bannana:

Until Black Sunday 19th August 2007.

Staying with inlaws in North Wales.

Went horse riding up Snowdonia and noticed police van with camera on the way there on a bend at the bottom of a hill. Went riding and the horse I was riding collapsed on the wet road...

Came back through the countryside and down the hill, 40mph limit me thinks - got a ticket for doing 38mph in a 30mph zone in the countryside at the bottom of a hill. :wallbash:

Listend to the footy on the journey back to my inlaws and my beloved Man U were beaten 1-0 by Man City.

Arrived at inlaws (Man City fans) "Hey, have you heard the score......

So 3, points gained and 3, points lost. :o:rolleyes:

BTW, North Wales Police are wriggle-proof, I tried everything to keep my record intact - No chance.

I've been driving almost 10 years, and although I've had (quite a few) words with the Police (in several countries) I've never had a point on my licence ;)

M.

Oddly enough...

Almost 21 years ago I was 30yrs old and passed my test, never had any points on my licence.
About 20 years ago a policeman 'had a word with me' (and fined me) for not wearing my seatbelt, he possibly saved my life because a couple of weeks later I took a bend in the road very badly and redesigned the roof my Mk2 Escort by roling it a couple of times.

Where is Wales?:p

Where is Wales?:p

Not sure of exact location, on the way back down from Snowdonia crossed a small bridge (river) and then in to villiage a little after. Coming down a hill, knew the van was there too.

3 points since December last year. Before that clean from 1991. Have had a coupe of 'chats' though, and a waved finger when I spotted a car pacing me!

My missus always used to boast that she had never had a point on her licence, I did point out that she was a serial Fiat owner so didnt ever have a chance to get any.
That was until I received a NIP through the post......Cant be me she said until we looked at the picture on the internet......I also had 23 witnesses that it couldn't be me as I was playing hockey at the time, it has certainly made life quieter, so well worth the £40 I had to pay for her!
