New C63 Coupe Arrived!

Next job for me to do on Friday is to give the car a wipe down with some Tardis (thanks Detailed) as my car seems to have picked up a thousand tar spots already :( Will give her a full on polish and wax after.

I've religiously checked the oil level but it hasn't moved since new so it's not using oil as fast as I had expected, anyone got any thoughts on oil usage as I had read it was high?

Since collection and over the last 3500 miles, mine now sits around the 3/4 mark on the dipstick. I keep expecting to see the top-up oil warning, as others have said, but it's yet to materialise.

Regarding the use of Tardis, that stuff is extremely effective, but be warned that it will remove all wax/protection you have in that area. Also ensure you don't leave it on the car too long before cleaning off. I was using it at the weekend as my exhaust tips had picked up some tar splats, which then welded themselves to the hot exhaust. A spray of Tardis left for a couple of mins, followed by a cleaning off with water and a microfiber have brought them back up to their usual gleaming standard.

I am feeling guilty as I have had mine for a little over a month and apart from a very quick wash 3 days after collection I haven't cleaned it :-( In my defince I have been away for the last 3 weekends and work in london so leave early and get home late.

I have covered 1500 miles in mine so far and not used any oil. But there is a really annoying squeak in the back somewhere when the bass thumps, doesn't even need to be turned up that loud....

As for the gear box. I have a hell of a job pulling away smoothly when the engine is cold. Makes me look like a right fool as the car lurches forwards with the wheels slipping slightly. I am sure I will get used to it eventually.

Minor gripes as I still love the car.

Gave an rs6 a shock on the motorway last night as well which ammused me, he booted it fomr around 40mph and I didn't disappear in his rear view mirror (the last shape one!) :-)

Blonde/Moff, will MB do anything about the squeaks and rattles or is it something you have to deal with? It is one thing I hate and fearful I'll have something rattling when I get mine

Mine's not bad enough yet, and seems to affect the car more when the car is cold or I could just be imagining that!

I had a great 200+ mile drive yesterday, but will talk about that tomorrow as need some sleep!

The rear rattle in mine is very bad as if something is about to fall off so yes they will. Just need to find the time to get it too them.
