New car ordered!

After test driving an e220cdi & an e350cdi my mind was firmly made up & i ordered an E350cdi saloon edition 125 sport(auto,iridium silver/black leather/parktronic/18"alloys/panoramic glass sunroof/harmon karden sound system/bi-xenons/bluetooth h/free/memory pack/amg sports pack with amg floor mats),basically the last of the new w212's before the facelift comes out in march(list price was a fraction under £41k & got this one for £33k & a reasonable part x on my cls),collecting from mb Croydon in a week or two(just waiting for my private plate to be retained from the cls,paperwork/fees done at dvla Wimbledon an hour ago)pics to follow

Engine and trim and paint colour. Sport is the one to get...

Now they are all 7g you might as well have the fastest diesel one

Well done, sounds lovely. I have the E250 coupe auto 125 Edition and I like it but would have liked the E350 version better if the company's budget had stretched.

Good as the latest 4-pot diesel's are in the W212, the V6 CDI is in a different league. My E350CDI still makes me smile when I give it a boot full

Great choice! That 350cdi engine is a peach! Rode a few times in Boss's E350cdi and the power makes my eyes water!

By the way, what did you think of the coupe?

Its a large engine for the car, in terms of mass. You may well find its not as nice to drive despite the extra power. Its one probably better suited to an E class

Thats a good point ! I bet its great to drive. A friend of mine had a W211 E320cdi and it was superb !

I do like the new CLA, but lets not go there.... Ive only just got my C250cdi Sport

My E320cdi was nice to drive, I drove a C320cdi and you were more aware there was a very large mass ahead of you. Stunning level of power. Hilarious.

The CLA is a style more than substance car, they'll shift heaps. The C250cdi is probably the C class to have IMHO. The E to have is the 350cdi and if they made it the S to have is the 420cdi one if you could get it over here

Agreed! I've driven an S420cdi in Russia and it's epic! Shame we don't get it or the E420 here.

I thought i would get your blessing steve,the v6 cdi is very smooth & quick when needed(only a second slower 0-60 than my cls).

No-thats how i got £8k off the list price,car was registered nov 12 & has delivery miles(61) & the last of them are being sold now(only a handful left accross the range)as only facelift orders are being taken now for march delivery.
