New friend for my C63 PPP....

Lovely car , well done. I'll make a change for you to get some attention in this car eh? ;)

It's the Buckinghamshire (just inside the M40/M25 junction) and it's always in great condition. I've been a member there for years and it's always a convenient stop for a "comfort break" ;) just off the M40! Maybe it's time we organised a golf outing for the MB Club!

I play at Woburn and would be happy to see if we can setup a MBUK day :)

Whats going on with the front lower grill? it looks like its fallen through, or is it a trick of the light!?!

Well spotted.

It does look like the left side has fallen through.. but it may well be trick of the light and could be cooler behind the mesh.

I haven't had a close look but it's one of the radiators/coolers behind the mesh. For some reason it's set at an angle which is why it looks as though it's broken loose. Either that or it has broken loose

I'm certainly game if you've got the energy to organise something. I've played at Woburn several times but usually in the summer months.

Lol, I'm sure it's all good, bud :thumb:

And I'm sure you are right - probably angled to encourage/ exploit airflow.

Awesome car, my good man.
Fair play :thumb:

Nice one Greg, enjoy!

Just in the 200 mile drive I was amazed how many people knew exactly what the car was. One guy actually followed me into the service area on the M40 to take photos whilst I was filling up and have a chat. When I got home the postman was emptying the post box next to my car and asked if it was a Black Series. Someone playing golf at the golf club also came over and said he test drove one the previous week and loved it. He's now considering selling his California. Finally, an old man walking his 2 dogs came over and said how wonderful he thought it was and asked if it really had a 6.3 litre engine. All this in one drive so it looks as though I'll be finding out what it's like to be chased by the paparazzi in the coming months

Did you tell him it was actually a 6.2?

Do you tell people yours is a 2.1? ;)

Dunno why people/Top Gear make such a big deal over 6.3 AMG badges, all cars are slightly less than what the badge says, always has been. A E55 is 5.4 etc

In this case though the 6.3 was a homage to the very first big engined AMG race car.

This one, the 300 sel 6.3:-

And of course its more modern W221 version:

Wow, just love that 300SEL 6.3. Unless it's someone I know, I usually don't bother clarifying the 6.2/6.3 issue. I think you have to be an anorak to care and most people would have fallen asleep by the time you finish :dk:

Here are a few more which I posted on the Private Lounge website plus a couple I've tweaked on iPhoto.
