New member in Northants

Hi all
I have just joined this forum as we are selling my wife's Jeep Cherokee and want to buy an MB W210 E320 Auto Estate. I have owned a Mercedes before, it was an ML 270 but I sold it in a matter of months because it was so slow that I thought I was waiting for my bus pass to arrive... Dreadful motor. However I liked the build of the car and now that we nee a large estate car, it seems logical to buy an E320. I am hoping that we can find one that is not covered in rust and within our limited budget. I do have a vain hope that we can keep this MB for many years and not have to change it for any reason.
Any help, advice etc will be gratefully received.

Hi, Mr Tibbs,
I am also in Northants at Great Oakley, between Corby and Kettering. Maybe when you get your car we can swap notes on where the best deals are on servicing etc.,
I now have an ML55 AMG - it catches pigeons - very fast.
Enjoy the forum; I was on the Mitsubishi forum for 8 years and I did everything (service) myself, but the ML55 poses a much bigger challenge. Nevertheless, I hope to do much of it myself.

I own a 2002 w210 e32o cdi, one of the few thankfully with no rust apart from one wheel arch which has now been sorted.
Great car for the Family mine is a seven seater and goes like a rocket with an average of 45-50 mph on a decent journey.

Once Sharons Jeep is sold, we will be looking for a car the same as yours Bazzer, hopefully without the dreaded rust. Jeeps are pretty rust free so this is a new experience for me to be looking out for. I believe that there is a member here that is selling a car that would fit the bill nicely, although a tad pricey for us, but who knows, maybe if we get lucky and sell the Jeep quickly.... One never knows
